Adventures in
Middle Tennessee
I may have missed a post or two while we were in Middle Tennessee staying at Crossville, TN……..
One of the big adventures that was AH-MAH-ZING was the paddle trip up to the bottom of the impressive Burgess Falls.
We began our adventure by parking at the Cane Hollow Boat Ramp on Center Hill Lake and paddled the 2-miles up the river up to the base of the falls and enjoy!
There is opportunities to sun on on the rocks, swim and float in the cool water. Our day was sunny, rainy then sunny again. The cool water made it easy to hang out and watch other paddlers while we waited for the perfect photo opportunity.

On a separate day, we traveled back to Burgess Falls State Park, a small park featuring an easy walk along Falling Water River where the cascades are around every turn. The views of the falls are nice and the many cascades are beautiful but the most spectacular is the base of the falls, only accessible by paddling to them.
A 2004 flood destroyed the stairs leading down to the base from the park and the park service opted to eliminate that feature.
